AbdulMaalik Tailor, a Muslim convert for over 20 years and a male domestic violence survivor who became Britain’s first professionally qualified Muslim Tour Guide. A Londoner from birth, he specialises in Muslim heritage in Britain. He is the founder of Muslim History Tours/ Halal Tourism Britain, specialising in bringing tourist from around the world to the UK. He organises a range of inspiring Muslim history tours by guided walks, day and night time sightseeing buses distinctively wearing his Fez hat and offers Halal food cruises on the River Thames.

He is also involved in research and delivers talks relating to local and national Muslim heritage of Britain. He also works with the media to promote Muslim history in Britain as well as with local authorities. One such example was the discovery and unveiling of a plaque marking London’s first recorded Eid prayer on Sunday 21st July 2019 in Waltham Forest, the first London Borough of Culture. His company came runners up for World’s Best Halal Tour Operator in 2015 (losing out to Etihad!)
